The Role

Principal: Miss A Steele | Required: September 2025 |Maths Pilot Apprentice Classroom Teacher | Fixed Term Dependent on Course | Unqualified 1, Actual Salary (£21,731)

The Excel Academy is delighted to advertise an excellent teacher apprenticeship opportunity within our highly successful, well-established Mathematics faculty.

The successful applicant will have one-to-one support from both school-based-Maths and university mentors, whilst working alongside experienced practitioners within the Academy and across our Trust. Here at The Excel Academy, there are many exciting future career opportunities available once qualified teacher status (QTS) has been achieved.

The post will provide the successful applicant with wonderfully rewarding opportunities to develop pupils to the highest levels and will include one day a week CPD to become a fully qualified teacher. The Academy opened as Holden Lane High School in 1963 and in 2013 it became The Excel Academy. The Academy is part of the Alpha Academies Trust which is located in Stoke-on-Trent and consists of two Secondary Schools, four Primary Schools and a Central Team.
