The Discovery Academy The Discovery Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven professional to manage the Internal Exclusion Unit (IEU) at the Academy. Administration of the IEU as well as the co-ordination of the delivery programme will form the bulk of the role.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently and alongside teaching staff, learning support staff, and senior leaders, to ensure the provision within the IEU is high quality and enables students to continue with their education within the exclusion setting. Students will be supported during their time in the IEU to ensure they continue to access the curriculum during their placement. The successful candidate must have confidence and be an effective communicator, to form successful relationships with staff and students.

The IEU will provide a setting where re-tracking and reflection will take place. Students will attend the IEU as a temporary measure to prepare them for a successful return to mainstream classes. Interviews with students and bespoke programmes will ensure the provision is personalised and offers a positive learning experience whilst ensuring students are removed from lessons for a short period of time.

The successful candidate must have a basic understanding of Microsoft office in order to compile statistical reports and to provide regular data analysis to be shared with senior leaders.
