The Role

Chief Executive Officer: Mr S French | Required: As Soon As Possible | Trust Payroll Officer | Level 6, 30 hours per week, Term Time Plus 2 Weeks (41.2 Weeks) | Actual Salary £19,671 to £21,419 | Monday to Friday


The Alpha Academies Trust (AAT) are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Officer to work in our busy team. Applications are invited from candidates who have excellent organisation, customer service and Payroll experience. You will have the dedication and enthusiasm to be part of a thoroughly committed team. Applicants must be computer literate and proficient with the use of Word and Excel. Knowledge of Sims/HR systems is desirable but not essential as training will be given. The successful applicant will: 


• Have worked in a similar role

• Have an understanding of teacher and local government pay and conditions, and pensions schemes

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times

• Have an understanding of HMRC requirements in relation to payroll

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data

• Experience of using ‘My View’

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Be detail orientated

• Have analytical skills

 

Alpha Academies Trust’s Head Office is based on The Discovery Academy site, in Stoke-on-Trent. However, you may be required to work at all academy sites and have your own transport. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to support the Alpha Central Team and make a significant contribution to the Payroll processes within the Trust. 


AAT is located in Stoke-on-Trent and consists of two Secondary Schools, three Primary Schools and a Central team.
